Joseph DeBlase is a Partner at Travis & DeBlase PLLC, where he focuses on commercial litigation and employment disputes. Since joining the firm in 2015, Joseph has developed a practice centered on representing businesses and individuals in complex disputes in the state and federal courts of New York and New Jersey. Based at the firm’s offices at 40 Wall Street in Manhattan’s Financial District, Joseph brings a combination of analytical rigor and practical advocacy to every matter he handles.

Joseph’s practice encompasses commercial litigation, business disputes, and employment law matters. He represents clients in breach of contract actions, fraud claims, business dissolution proceedings, and other commercial disputes. His employment litigation practice includes representing employers and employees in wrongful termination claims, discrimination and harassment matters, wage and hour disputes, and non-compete enforcement actions. Joseph handles cases from pre-litigation negotiation through trial and appeal, and he is admitted to practice in both New York and New Jersey, allowing him to represent clients across jurisdictional lines.
Education and Background
Joseph received his Juris Doctor from New York Law School in 2014. During law school, he interned with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, where he gained early exposure to courtroom advocacy and case preparation. That prosecutorial background instilled the discipline, thoroughness, and comfort in adversarial proceedings that Joseph brings to his civil practice today.
